Schedule social posts from a Google Sheet

Write your posts in a spreadsheet with a date. Each morning the automation publishes the post that's due and marks it as posted.

Google SheetsLinkedIn

What you need

  • A Google account
  • A LinkedIn profile (works the same way with other networks your tool supports)

Steps

  1. Set up the sheet

Create a sheet with the columns date (YYYY-MM-DD), post_text, status. Write a few posts and leave status empty.

  2. Run once a day

Schedule the automation for the time you want to post, for example 09:00.

  3. Find today's post

Look up the row where date is today and status is empty. If there's no row, stop here.

  4. Publish it

Send post_text to LinkedIn as a post from your profile.

  5. Mark it as posted

Update the row: set status to posted. This stops it from being posted twice.

Build it in your tool

Schedule daily. Google Sheets > Search rows (filter date = today, status empty), LinkedIn > Create a user text post, Google Sheets > Update a row.

Assumption: One check a day (30 a month) and 20 posts a month. Prices in USD, checked 2026-10-17 on the official pricing pages. The plan shown is the cheapest that covers this recipe alone; if you run several automations, add their usage together.

Watch out for

  • Write dates as plain text in YYYY-MM-DD format so the comparison works.
  • LinkedIn connections sometimes expire. Check the tool's error emails.
