Turn every new blog post into ready-to-use social posts

When you publish a blog or newsletter post, AI writes three short social posts about it and adds them to your posting sheet.

What you need

  • Your blog or newsletter RSS link (beehiiv, Substack, and WordPress all have one)
  • An OpenAI API key
  • The sheet from the social-posts recipe, or any sheet

Steps

  1. Watch your own feed

Trigger on new items in your RSS feed. Checking once a day is enough.

  2. Write the posts with AI

Send the title, link, and description to OpenAI. Prompt idea: "Write 3 different social posts about this article for beginners. Under 220 characters each. Plain language, no hashtag spam, include the link."

  3. Add them to your queue

Add the posts to your Google Sheet with an empty date and status. Edit them, add dates, and the social-posts recipe publishes them.

Build it in your tool

RSS > Watch RSS feed items (daily), OpenAI > Create a completion, Google Sheets > Add a row.
